11,000km in 3 weeks!

Thanks to all the family for their generous hospitality. Happy memories flourish of our recent trip DRIVING to the East coast . New years Eve in Brisbane with Pete and Rach. Swimming in the large and luscious pool with the cousins. Snorkeling, marine lessons and walking around spectacular Sydney Harbour with Dave and Julie. Lovely roast lamb, and the produce-bearing garden at the Killows. The best Spa experience ever with the Poyntings! Melbourne's cultural and artistic magnificence! The breathtaking Great Ocean road. It was brief...but it was brilliant.

Eucla
The sands at Eucla were suprisingly tame this visit. With little wind, we could explore more of the old telegraph station and take in the beauty of this remote location. The pool looks out onto the great southern ocean.

Brisbane
It was lovely to see the new house, and the family within! Thanks Josh Nathan Leanna and Shalese for sharing your rooms with us. Thanks P and R for fun New years Eve.

Dreamworld on New Years Day.
Highlights were...the Drop, the Tower of terror , the claw( and getting off the cyclone...!) I.

Sydney
Elijah was a fantastic tourist, keeping up and snoozing when needed. Thanks for taking us to some favourite places D and J. Thanks Uncle David for the excellent spear fishing lesson.

Outside Croydon PO. What a blast from primary school past (for I ) to walk down the strand. It has cool coffee shops and bakeries.
Fantastic to see Oma, Grandad & Uncle Ian in such great health. Thanks for the lovely meals, puzzles & bush walk.
The best spa ever at Aunty Deb, Uncle Tim, Rebecca and Michael's new resort. Exciting to hear about your writing Bec!

Congratulations on 50 years together!!

Melbourne

Great Japanese food.

43.6 degrees for our day sightseeing.

We stayed on Flinders street.

Bells Beach

The 12 Apostles, Port Campbell
Fantastic to see just before dark.
We'd been delayed 2 1/2 hours with car repairs to our fan belt...so even sweeter to actually be there!

Back on the Nullarbor. The whale is still there!

Very funny, Ali!
